Hive Pop is a small business in Hutchinson, Kansas, that makes cake pops and cake pucks and brings self-serve treat carts to local businesses.
This policy explains what information we collect when you visit hivepop.co, fill out one of our forms, sign up for our emails, or work with us on a pop-up, and what we do with it.
By using our website and forms, you agree to this policy. Questions about it can go to [email protected].
Information we collect
What you give us. When you fill out a form or talk with us about a pop-up, we collect:
Your name, business name, email address, and phone number
Pop-up details: preferred dates and times, hours, cart or flavor preferences, and any notes you write
Your sign-up choices, such as whether you agreed to pop-up emails, the Sweet Treat Insider newsletter, or text messages, and when you agreed
What we collect automatically. When you visit our site, open our forms, or click links in our emails, our software may record:
Which links you clicked, such as our info sheet or request form
Technical information such as your browser, device type, and IP address
Cookies, which are small files your browser stores (you can block them in your browser settings)
What we do not collect. We don't see or store your full card number. Payments are handled by our payment processor, described below.
How we use your information
We use it to run Hive Pop, and only for that:
·Reply to your requests and plan, schedule, confirm, and remind you about pop-ups ·Keep records of who we've worked with and what we agreed
·Send you the emails you said yes to, described in the next section
·Follow up about future pop-ups with hosts who have worked with us
·Understand which of our materials people find useful
·Meet legal, tax, and recordkeeping requirements
We do not sell your information, and we do not rent it out.
Emails, consent, and unsubscribing
We only email you if you've said yes. We send two kinds of email:
Pop-up emails. If you request a pop-up, rebook one, or tell us in person that email is fine, we send confirmations, reminders, scheduling updates, and follow-ups about future pop-ups.
The Sweet Treat Insider newsletter. If you check the box on our sign-up form, we send cart locations, new flavors, and sweet treat news.
We record when and how you gave consent. Emails come from [email protected], and replies come to us.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails, or by emailing [email protected]. If you unsubscribe and already have a pop-up scheduled, we may contact you another way to coordinate it.
Text messages
Our forms include an optional checkbox to receive texts about your pop-up (confirmations and reminders). We only text people who check that box, and the text box is separate from the email boxes.
When texting is active, message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and consent is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.
We do not share your mobile number or text opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Link and email tracking
Many links in our emails and pages, such as our pop-up info sheet, our request form, and our newsletter sign-up, are tracked links. When you click one, we record that you clicked it. We may also see whether an email was opened.
We use this to see which information people find useful and to know who might want a follow-up.
We don't use it to track you across other websites.
Click and open data isn't perfectly accurate, because some email programs and security tools open links automatically. If you'd rather not be tracked, you can skip the links in our emails and contact us directly, or unsubscribe.
Payments, sharing, and third-party services
We use outside services to run Hive Pop, and they handle your information only to provide those services:
Our business software (HighLevel) for forms, contacts, scheduling, and email
Square for payments. Square processes your card details under its own privacy policy, and we never see your full card number.
Google Workspace for email
Social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, where we post. Their own privacy policies apply to anything you do there.
We share your information only with these service providers, when the law requires it, or if the business is sold or transferred. We may name your business and pop-up dates when we promote a pop-up. If you'd rather we didn't, just tell us.
Keeping your information safe, and your choices
How long we keep it. We keep your information for as long as we need it to run the business and meet tax and legal requirements. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
Security. We use reasonable safeguards, including password-protected business accounts. No method of storing or sending information online is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Your choices. You can unsubscribe from emails, reply STOP to texts, and ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. Email [email protected] and we'll take care of it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, and we'll honor them.
Children. Our website and forms are for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes. If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
